These are a group of medicines known as vasodilators. These medicines relax and widen blood vessels, which helps to improve blood flow to various parts of the body. They are used to treat conditions associated with poor circulation to the arms and legs like peripheral vascular disease. Some of these medicines may also be used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension).
