Helicobacter Pylori IgA

Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) bacterium affects your stomach, causing symptoms such as burning pain, unexplained weight loss, nausea, bloating. Doctors recommend this test to detect the presence of a peptic ulcer, gastritis (inflammation in the stomach’s lining), and other gastric disorders. The Helicobacter Pylori IgA test looks for the levels of IgA antibodies, which develop in your body when you are infected with this bacterium. Also, the test is helpful in monitoring if the treatment is working successfully in removing the bacterium from your body.
It is a blood test where a nurse inserts a needle to draw blood from a vein in your arm. If your results show elevated levels of IgA antibodies, you may have a higher risk of gastric cancer and gastric ulcer disease.
