The ingredients in Herbex Expectorant breaks the mucus in the nasal passage and the airway and thus decreases the thickness of mucus secretions. This facilitates the secretions of sputum or mucus through the respiratory tract and makes breathing easier. This is how it clears off the airway and helps in decongestion.
