Role of active ingredients:
Elemental iron is a form of iron which offers higher absorption and least chances of GI disturbances. Iron transports oxygen throughout the body and maintains red blood cells, thus making an individual feel energetic and preventing anemia.
Vitamin B12 is used to treat pernicious anemia, memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, boosting mood, energy, concentration and the immune system, and slowing aging. It is also used for heart disease, lowering high homocysteine levels (which may contribute to heart disease), male infertility, diabetes, sleep disorders, depression, mental disorders, weak bones (osteoporosis), swollen tendons, inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, allergies, a skin disease called vitiligo, and skin infections.
Folic acid is essential to numerous bodily functions ranging from nucleotide biosynthesis to the remethylation of homocysteine. It is especially important during periods of rapid cell division and growth. Both children and adults require folic acid to produce healthy red blood cells and prevent anemia.
