How Zeriderm Products work
Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole is a combination of four medicines: Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole1, Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole2, Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole3 and Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole4, which treats skin infections. Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole1 is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole2 is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole3 is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole4 is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging the DNA.

Q. Can I stop taking Zeriderm Cream when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Zeriderm Cream and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the skin infection is completely cured.
Q. What precautions should be taken while using Zeriderm Cream?
Zeriderm Cream should not be used on the face. Do not use the medication for longer periods of time than you have been advised. Do not apply a bandage or dressing to the area being treated, as this will increase absorption of the preparation and increase the risk of side-effects.This medicine should only be used by the patient and never be given to other people even if their condition appears to be the same.
Q. What would happen if I use a higher than the recommended dose of Zeriderm Cream for long periods?
The dosage and duration of using Zeriderm Cream should be strictly according to the doctor’s advice. It contains clobetasol which when used in higher doses and for longer periods can cause a change in the skin color, at the site of the application. Veins beneath the skin become visible because of thinning and weakening of the skin. There could be an increased hair growth. The medicine may get absorbed into the blood and can cause weight gain, high blood pressure and rounding of the face. If you experience an increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
