Atorvastatin + Vitamin B3(Nicotinic Acid) is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin + Vitamin B3(Nicotinic Acid)1 and Atorvastatin + Vitamin B3(Nicotinic Acid)2 which treat high cholesterol. Atorvastatin + Vitamin B3(Nicotinic Acid)1 is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Atorvastatin + Vitamin B3(Nicotinic Acid)2 is a form of vitamin B which further raises the levels of "good cholesterol" (HDL).
