Ibuprofen + Paracetamol + Caffeine is a combination of two pain relievers (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol + Caffeine1, Ibuprofen + Paracetamol + Caffeine2) and a stimulant (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol + Caffeine3). The pain relievers work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). The presence of Caffeine increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol / Acetaminophen.

It works by lowering the chemical substance in the body which causes pain, fever and inflammation. The presence of Caffeine increases the effectiveness of Paracetamol.

Ibufen Tablet is usually used for a short term and can be discontinued when symptoms are relieved. However, Ibufen Tablet should be continued if the doctor has advised to do so.

Yes, the use of Ibufen Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. If you start to experience vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to your doctor.

Yes, the use of Ibufen Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

The use of Ibufen Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDs) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medication should preferably be avoided in patients having a history of stomach ulcers or in patients who have active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure or any underlying liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Ibufen Tablet can cause insomnia. Take Ibufen Tablet in the morning or afternoon to avoid insomnia. Consult the doctor if you are having persistent sleeping problem or insomnia (inability to sleep) while taking this medicine.
Q. Can the use of Ibufen Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of Ibufen Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, rather it can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe despite taking the medicine, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
