Q. How should Erylent Gel be applied?
Erylent Gel should be applied twice daily. It should be applied to a dry, clean face to lessen the possibility of irritation. Spread it gently and uniformly in a thin layer but you need not rub it in.
Q. What is Erylent Gel used for?
Erylent Gel is used for treatment of acne vulgaris also known as pimples or spots. It is used to reduce the growth of bacteria which cause acne. It can also be used to treat skin infections.
Q. What precautions need to be followed while applying Erylent Gel?
Erylent Gel should be applied cautiously. It should not come into contact with the eyes, lips, or the lining of the mouth or nose. Do not apply to broken skin. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Be careful not to use cosmetic products containing alcohol, irritant, or medicated soaps, as these may cause irritation or drying effects.
Q. How long does it take for Erylent Gel to work for acne?
Successful treatment of acne may take several weeks or even months. The normal treatment time is 10 to 12 weeks. Consult your doctor, if you do not see improvement at the end of the prescribed course of treatment.
Q. If Erylent Gel does not help me with acne, can I use clindamycin?
If you have already used Erylent Gel, antibiotics of the same class (macrolides), clindamycin and lincomycin may also not work. This could be because of drug resistance. In this, the bacteria gets modified in your body and medicines may not be able to treat the new modified form.
Q. How should Erylent Gel be stored?
Store it in a cool dry place below 25 degrees centigrade. Some of the preparations may contain alcohol, which are flammable, and therefore should be kept away from high temperatures.
Q. What if I forget to apply Erylent Gel?
Try not to forget to use Erylent Gel, as missing an application will slow down the healing process. However, if you have missed an application, use Erylent Gel as soon as you remember, but a gap of about three hours is required before you use it again.
