The nerve conduction velocity test determines the electrical activity of nerve impulses. During this test, the nerve is stimulated with the help of electrodes attached to the skin. The test is used to identify the nerve damage. You may need this test you have continuous pain, numbness & tingling in your arms, legs, hands and feet. The disease that can be identified by this test are Gullaine Barre Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Herniated disk disease , Chronic inflammatory neurological disorders or sciatic nerve damage.
