Respiratory tract infection
Respiratory tract infections are those infections that can affect the sinuses, throat, airways or lungs. Stella 60K Tablet contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Carbocisteine, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause respiratory tract infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Carbocisteine helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It also enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.
It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How to use Stella Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Stella 60K Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Stella Tablet

Take your medication timely to maintain steady levels in your body.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
Discontinue Stella 60K Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
Diarrhea might occur as a side effect of medicine. Drink plenty of fluids or inform your doctor if it bothers you.
Avoid consuming alcohol while taking medication as it may cause increased side effects.

Take Stella 60K Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.

Can the use of Stella 60K Tablet cause allergic reaction?

Although it is rare but yes, Stella 60K Tablet can cause allergic reaction and is harmful in patients with known allergy to penicillins. Get emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty in breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
