Shelcal K Tablet

Shelcal K Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get the maximum benefit. Continue taking it as long as your doctor has prescribed it. However, do not take it more than or longer than prescribed by the doctor, as that may cause harmful effects. In addition to taking the medicine, including calcium-rich foods like milk, cheese, and other dairy foods, green leafy vegetables such as curly kale, okra, etc. in your diet may help.

It is generally safe medicine with little or no side effects. However, If you experience any symptoms on taking this medicine, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or treat the side effects.

To make sure it is safe for you, it is important to let your doctor know if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Additionally, consult your doctor if you plan to take any other form of vitamin D along with this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to make sure it is safe for you.

Shelcal K Tablet is a combination of three medicines : Calcitriol, Calcium Citrate Malate, and Vitamin K2-7. Calcitriol is the active form of Vitamin D. It raises Vitamin D levels in your blood. This in turn raises calcium levels in your blood by helping you absorb more calcium from your intestine. Calcium citrate malate is a water-soluble calcium supplement. It increases the plasma calcium levels, and is used when the amount of calcium taken in the diet is not enough. Vitamin K2-7 plays a central role in the metabolism of calcium, the main mineral found in your bones and teeth. Vitamin K2-7 activates the calcium-binding actions of two proteins : matrix GLA protein and osteocalcin, which help to build and maintain bone health.
