Nilcold-DM Syrup

Nilcold-DM Syrup may be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It’s important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well.

Use of this medicine may cause some common side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, or vomiting. These side effects aren't often dangerous and they should gradually improve as your body gets used to this medicine. If you are bothered by any of these side effects, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or treat the side effects.

Before using Nilcold-DM Syrupl, you should tell your doctor if you have any medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. It is important to ask your doctor about the safety of this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Smoking can cause damage to your lungs and will make your condition worse, avoid smoking while on treatment with this medicine.

• Treatment of Cough

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Nilcold-DM Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nilcold-DM Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Levocetirizine, Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Ammonium Chloride, and Menthol. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is an antitussive (cough suppressants). It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Ammonium chloride is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Menthol has mild cooling and decongestant properties that help soothe the cough and ease congestion in the lungs.
