Use Iotrim Eye Ointment only in the affected eye. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.

The most common side effects include burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. If this side effect persist for a longer duration, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it off with water. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause blurring of vision.

Iotrim Eye Ointment is a combination of two antibiotics (Gramicidin and Neomycin) and a steroid (Triamcinolone). The antibiotics work by killing the bacteria that cause infections. The steroid blocks the action of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy.
