You should keep using it for as long as it is prescribed even if your symptoms have gone. This will prevent the infection from coming back. How to use Eberlen 1% Cream?
Before using Eberlen 1% Cream, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage it into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Eberlen 1% Cream gets in your eyes accidentally, wash with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.
My itching is gone, so can I stop using Eberlen 1% Cream?
You must complete the course of treatment even if the irritation is gone. Eberlen 1% Cream is an antifungal medication and treats fungal infections of the skin. In fungal infection of the skin, the fungus stays in the layers of the skin. So, even though the medication may clear the symptoms in a few days, the infection can be present in deeper layers of the skin. You may need to keep applying this medicine for 4-6 weeks.
Will just applying Eberlen 1% Cream relieve my infection?
Eberlen 1% Cream is prescribed when the fungal infection is superficial. It is not always true, but sometimes superficial fungal infections need oral antifungal therapy too. So the doctor decides whether the patient needs just Eberlen 1% Cream or a combination of Eberlen 1% Cream and oral medicine depending on the severity and site of the fungal infection.
