Introduction of CTD-C Tablet

CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet is a combination of medicines used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It also helps to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet is a combination of an antihypertensive and a diuretic medicine

CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Side effects of CTD-C Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • Headache
  • Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk)

How to use CTD-C Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet is to be taken with food.

CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
Liver
CAUTION
CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take CTD-C Tablet?

If you miss a dose of CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • CTD-C 6.25/10 Tablet helps in the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • It also lowers your risk of stroke and heart attack.
  • Take it in the morning with breakfast to avoid getting up at night to urinate.
  • It may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
  • It may cause you to feel lightheaded or weak especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension).  Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • It may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.
  • Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood pressure, kidney function and the levels of salts such as potassium in your blood while you are taking this medicine.

Your blood cholesterol levels are high, for this you should make healthy diet and lifestyle related changes like have a diet rich in more vegetables, fruits. Avoid fried fatty and processed foods. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days in a week. Your vitamin D level is also low, for this you can take calcirol sachet in milk once a week for at least 6 weeks. Please consult a doctor if you have side effects of cilacar.
