AccuSure Hand-held Vein Illuminator Locator is a portable vein finder that can easily carry around anywhere you go. The vein finder light only needs to be fully charged for 30 minutes and can be used for about 100 minutes. Trans illumination refers to the transmission of light through tissues of the body. The vein illuminator produces a ring of bright light directed down to the centre of the ring, which is focused on the skin. When a vein illuminator is placed on the skin, the light uniformly illuminates the superficial tissues inside the ring. De-oxygenated blood in veins absorbs the light, so veins show as dark lines within the illuminated area.
