Ultrasound Breast

Ultrasound imaging of breasts is a sound waves based imaging technique to visualize the internal structures, blood vessels, tissues and muscles in breasts. It is used to detect lumps and monitor the blood flow in breasts.
This scan is recommended if a physician suspects any symptoms of breast tumor, swelling in breast area or unusual discharge from nipple.
It can also be advised in case of abnormal mammograph or as a guide to put a needle for biopsy.
This method does not use ionizing radiation and has considered to be a safer alternative.
