Sialogram is an imaging technique to visualize the salivary gland situated in mouth. Salivary glands secrete saliva in the mouth which helps in chewing, swallowing and digestion of food. This test helps to detect any blockage, narrowing or dialation in the gland. It is recommended in case of pain, swelling, drying or/ and foul taste in mouth.
Sialogram helps to diagnose salivary duct stones, infections and oral cancer.
