Covid Antibody IgG (Qualitative)

Covid Antibody IgG test is a blood test to detect the presence of IgG antibodies formed in response to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. These antibodies develop after 2 weeks of encountering the virus. This test is advised to both asymptomatic patients having no symptoms and symptomatic patients with persistent fever, cough and body ache.
If you have COVID-19 antibodies in your blood, it's likely you've had the infection or have been exposed to the infection before. This test also helps to monitor the vaccine response of the body.
Note: Covid Antibody IgG (Qualitative) test only helps in detecting the presence of antibodies and is not meant to be used for diagnosis of active Covid-19 infection.
