Scrabic Lotion contains Permethrin. Permethrin is an insecticide belonging to the pyrethroid family. It is used in the treatment of scabies which is an extremely contagious skin disease that causes severe itchiness, rashes and blisters in the skin. Permethrin is a neurotoxin that paralyzes the nerves in the respiratory muscles of scabies mites that infest human skin, thereby killing the mites. It also eliminates the eggs of the scabies mites, thereby reducing chances of further infestation in future.
