Sulphacetamide/Sulfacetamide + Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate + Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Boric Acid + Sodium Chloride + Chlorbutol is a combination of five medicines: Sulphacetamide/Sulfacetamide , Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate , Chlorpheniramine Maleate Boric Acid and Sodium Chloride . Sulphacetamide/Sulfacetamide is an antibiotic. It prevents the bacteria that cause eye infections from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial replication. Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate and Boric Acid are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eyes and relieve irritation. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, watery eyes. Sodium Chloride is a purified salt solution. It cleanses the eye and reduces swelling.
