Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose+Moxifloxacin+Prednisolone is used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections.

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose + Moxifloxacin + Prednisolone is a combination of three medicines: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose , Moxifloxacin and Prednisolone. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eye. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. This kills the bacteria that cause eye infection. Moxifloxacin is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
