Respiratory distress syndrome occurs when there is not enough surfactant in the lungs. Surfactant is a liquid made by the lungs that keeps the airways (alveoli) open. Surfact 108mg Injection provides lubrication and helps the airways in your lungs stay open. It relaxes the muscles of these airways. This makes it easier for air to get in and out of the lungs of the baby. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully.
