- Diarrhea can cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids to help rehydrate you. Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
- Do not use Nortex TZ Tablet if you have blood in your stool or if you are severely constipated.

Nortex TZ Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Tinidazole, Norfloxacin and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Tinidazole and Norfloxacin work by killing the harmful microorganisms that can cause infection. Together they help to treat some infections more effectively than when taken alone. Lactobacillus helps to maintain the healthy bacteria in your stomach and intestine.
Is it safe to use Nortex TZ Tablet?
Nortex TZ Tablet is safe for most of the patients. However, in some patients it may cause common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, headache, dryness in the mouth, metallic taste, heartburn, and other uncommon or rare side effects. If you experience any persistent problem due to this medication, inform your doctor as soon as possible.
Can the use of Nortex TZ Tablet cause metallic taste?
Yes, the use of Nortex TZ Tablet can cause a temporary metallic taste. This metallic taste can be reduced by chewing sugar-free gum or mints or by brushing teeth after the meals.

It should also be preferably avoided in patients with history of any inflammation of the tendons (tendinitis) or tendon rupture seen with the use of norfloxacin or any other medicine which belongs to the same group (quinolone group) of antimicrobial agents and in patients with some neurological disorders.
Can Nortex TZ Tablet increase the risk of tendon rupture?
Yes, Nortex TZ Tablet contains Norfloxacin, which is known to increase the risk of tendon rupture, commonly in the achilles tendon. Tendon problems can happen in people of all ages who take Nortex TZ Tablet. Inform your health care provider if you hear or feel a snap or pop, have severe pain, rapid or immediate bruising after an accident, and are unable to use the affected arm or leg, you may have a tendon rupture.
What if I don't get better after using Nortex TZ Tablet?
Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
Can I stop taking Nortex TZ Tablet when I feel better?
No, do not stop taking Nortex TZ Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
What if I miss my dose?
Take Nortex TZ Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.
