Introduction of Nebistar-H Tablet

Nebistar-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It also helps to reduce chances of any future heart attack and stroke.

Nebistar-H Tablet is a combination of antihypertensive and diuretic medicines.

In Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Nebistar-H Tablet blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. Additionally, it eliminates excess water from the body and increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Side effects of Nebistar-H Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Nebistar-H Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nebistar-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Nebistar-H Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Nebistar-H Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Nebistar-H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nebistar-H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Nebistar-H Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Nebistar-H Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nebistar-H Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Nebistar-H Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Nebistar-H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • It is a combination of two blood pressure lowering medications used for the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • It can be taken with or without food.
  • Do not stop taking Nebistar-H Tablet suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
  • It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you're diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Nebistar-H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.

Sir/Madam My mother who is 80 years old is very frail and has lost appetite and thirst for the past three months.She is taking Renosave for kidney but is having great fluctuations in her blood pressure say yesterday and today 50/75, 47/74 etc.Is it safe to give her Floricot 100mcg when blood pressure is very low on some day and give her Nebistar SA or Renosave on days it is too high.My query is regarding interactions of above referred medicines and possible ill effects Thanks and Regards Manmotra V.Kumar
