Benefits of Lucentis Injection
In Diabetic eye disease
Diabetic eye disease is a group of eye problems seen in people with diabetes. It can lead to vision loss, weak eyesight or even blindness. Lucentis Injection helps prevent this damage caused by diabetes and stops the worsening of vision. Consult your doctor if you have any doubts.
In Wet age-related macular degeneration
Macula is the part of the retina responsible for central vision. Wet age-related macular degeneration is an eye disorder that causes blurred vision or a blind spot in your visual field due to abnormal blood vessels that leak fluid or blood into the macula. This leads to vision problems. Lucentis Injection helps prevent leakage of such abnormal blood vessels and therefore prevents vision loss. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered.
In Macular edema due to retinal vein occlusion
Retinal vein occlusion is a blockage of the small veins that carry blood away from the retina, which is that part of the eye that is responsible for vision. So, retinal vein occlusion often causes permanent damage to the retina and loss of vision. It can also lead to other eye problems. Sometimes there is a complete loss of vision almost immediately. Lucentis Injection helps treat swelling of the macula that can cause vision disturbances.
