Introduction of Hepexa M Tablet

Hepexa M Tablet is used to treat fatty liver with diabetes. It works by improving blood flow and eliminating harmful toxins from the liver. Therefore, it decreases the production of glucose in the liver, increases insulin sensitivity, and restores normal liver function.

Hepexa M Tablet is a combination of metformin and ursodeoxycholic acid.

To make the medicine more effective and for general health benefits, try to avoid smoking and alcohol, maintain a healthy weight and indulge in some kind of exercise daily.

Pregnancy

Hepexa M Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Hepexa M Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
CAUTION
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Hepexa M Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Hepexa M Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Hepexa M Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Liver
CAUTION
Hepexa M Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hepexa M Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Hepexa M Tablet is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Hepexa M Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Hepexa M Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
