How Diazepam + Oxyphenonium + Magaldrate works
Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Oxyphenonium is an anticholinergic which works by blocking the binding of the a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) to its receptor in nerve cells. This relaxes the smooth muscles in the digestive tract and decreases the spasms. Magaldrate is an inorganic salt that neutralises the excess acid in stomach.
