Starpill Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and lower the risk of future heart attack and stroke.

Starpill Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of medicines that is more effective in controlling blood pressure as compared to a single medication. Lowering blood pressure helps in preventing future heart attack and stroke. This medicine also helps to prevent clot formation and even decreases bad cholesterol levels in the blood. It should be taken with food regularly at a fixed time each day. This medicine should not be stopped without consulting your doctor. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this medicine to work better. Dizziness may occur in some patients as a side effect, but this gets better with time.

Driving

Starpill Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Starpill Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Starpill Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Starpill Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Starpill Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Starpill Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Starpill Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Starpill Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • It may make you bleed more easily. Be careful while shaving, using sharp objects, or cutting fingernails or toenails.

Persistent high arterial blood pressure above 120/80 mm HG is termed as pre-hypertension or hypertension, but the point to be emphasized is that this rise in blood pressure is persistent. Transient increase in BP occurs in stress and anxiety and needs to be treated accordingly.
